SATISFY YOUR SEEKING
We all want things.
A bigger home. A vacation. A satisfying job. Better health. Higher status.
The desire to want is how we (and all living things) are wired. Most living things seek sustenance or shelter. Human beings are often fortunate to have evolved to a point where our Kundalini primes us to seek a deeper meaning in our lives.
Until we recognize that, we can satisfy all the wants we have and remain unfulfilled.
THE KUNDALINI’S ROLE IN MEDITATION
Kundalini, derived from the Sanskrit word “kundala” meaning “coil,” is a conscious, evolutionary energy lying dormant at the base of each person’s spine in the sacrum bone. When this energy is awakened, it begins its journey upwards through your central energy channel, the Sushumna. Piercing through and purifying the chakras along the way, she finally emerges at the top of the skull. It is at this point that Self-Realization takes place, and your Kundalini is united with the all-pervading spiritual energy which surrounds and encompasses all living things.
THE SACRED KNOWLEDGE
In ancient times, the existence and power of the Kundalini was a sacred knowledge passed from master to disciple for thousands of years. Spiritual gurus who knew of the Kundalini would guide their devotees through years of rigorous practices and severe penances to achieve the Kundalini awakening. It was attained by only a few who ardently pursued it. In modern times, Sahaja Yoga has made this awakening possible to anyone who desires it. Your own desire for spiritual ascent is the main catalyst for its awakening.
Sahaja Yoga is practiced worldwide. Meditation classes are offered free of charge at various locations. Classes are run by experienced meditation practitioners who volunteer their time to share the knowledge they have received.
